We recently enjoyed tropical acai bowls at Playa Bowls, which were absolutely perfect. However, our experience was somewhat diminished by the discourteous behavior of the staff.

Ordered 2 Nutella bowls and gave a hefty tip. I didn’t get a thank you or anything. The good news I didn’t have to wait long because it was so rushed I got big chunks of sliced and unsliced strawberries, the bowl was 1/2 full and hardly any Nutella or coconut chips.These are not cheap and just want what I paid for. I went to the Playa In Westwood earlier in the week and that bowl was completely different. See below Drangonberry from Westwood, Nutella Bowl from Rutherford I am hoping someone will look into this as I have been coming here since it opened,

Well first things first.. correct me if i am wrong but don’t Nutella açaí bowls already come with Strawberries?.. So if i asked for “extra” strawberries that would mean i’d be paying for extra.. but instead she charged it as “add strawberries” which would only mean i get a few and not extra, and then i also mentioned adding peanut butter syrup.. &’ literally received like one stingy portion of it. &’ keep in mind i went with friends.. so whoever did my bowl did a HORRIBLE job.. cause i took time to compare my bowl to my friends and theirs was wayyyy fuller &’ they didn’t even ask for extra nothing, like i did. They paid the regular price for each of their bowls.. and it ranged from $12-$13 max. Where as mine came out to $17.. AND JUST LOOK AT IT!!! it’s stingy.. i literally ate half of it and the remaining half is just to show how much mine was filled.. it was basically empty compared to the other bowls i had ordered with friends.. im just disappointed

Forget the 1 star reviews, lol. The staff was courteous and even apologized because I had to wait a minute or two before my order could be taken. So polite! I ordered a Fall Exclusive bowl. I don’t even know what it’s called but it SLAPPED. It had oats, green apples, and other yummy in my tummy ingredients. I’m literally inhaling it right now as I write this review. Check out the photo. A super sweet staff member named Kylo put together my bowl and LOOK AT HOW THE BANANA IS FEATHERED. This bowl is made with love. I’ll be back to try every menu item that has a banana in it. I love bananas as much as I love this Playa Bowl location. 🍌

Service was quick, the worker who tended to my order was attentive and came up right away. However when I received my order there was a stingy amount inside and looked like it was put together sloppy and carelessly.
